Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

Q: Do I absolutely need a website?
A: No, no one says you have to have a website. But, few who do business in any capacity would advise that not having a website is to your advantage. A simple, helpful and informative website that at minimum, allows prospective customers to get in touch with you is definitely better than nothing.

Q: What do I need to get started?
A: The most important thing is to have your content and your images ready.

For the content, simply use Microsoft Word (or any text editor you choose) and create the text that will go on your pages. Look at other websites that you like in order to develop you ideas about what pages you will want and which content goes on each page.

For the images, be sure to send us the highest-quality versions of your images. Don’t worry about them being too large, just send us the high-resolution versions of your files and we will take care of the rest.

Q: Don’t I need a web-hosting account, or something like that?
A: Yes you do. It’s no big deal at all to get one. I recommend GoDaddy. They are  inexpensive and it is simply the easiest Web Hosting company when it comes to signing up and creating your account. Lot’s of our customers use GoDaddy, so if you do as well, it will be very easy for us to price, build, and administer your website. We simply know their back-end and feature-set very well.

Q: If I use GoDaddy, which web-hosting plan should I choose?
A: At $4.99 / month, their “Windows Economy” plan is simply the best value for your money.

Q: I already have a hosting account with another service provider, is that a problem?
A: No problem at all. When are ready for us to help us with your website, just let us know who your hosting provider is so that we can determine what features are available to you.

Q: I am not based in the United States and my web-hosting provider is also based in my country, is that a problem?
A: No problem at all, many of our customers are based all over the world, and we work directly with their hosting providers when developing their websites.

Q: My neighbor / nephew / friend / child knows a little about HTML. Can’t they just do this for me for free?
A: Sure why not? Sometimes though, a small business or individual may want their website developed and supported by a professional. If you have professional web development needs, we would be glad to help you.
